Welcome to Plano Breast Surgeon Doctor Beth Anglin's Website
As a specialist in surgical diseases of the breast, I strive to provide you with coordinated, sensitive care that is medically sound, technologically advanced, and responsive to your emotional as well as physical needs.
To make certain you understand every aspect of your care and the options available to you, I strongly encourage you to ask questions and keep a positive attitude. Bring a list of questions and take notes. You have access to my cell phone and receive a full copy of reports for your personal file. Newly diagnosed cancer patients are typically seen within 24 hours.
A vast majority of lumps I see are not cancerous. These could be cysts which can be treated in the office or benign solid masses that might not need removal such as a fibroadenoma. Other issues include breast pain or infection. Mastitis can often be treated conservatively with the continuation of nursing if desired.
When appropriate, your care is coordinated with an outstanding team of specialists – medical oncologist, radiation oncologist, pathologist and reconstructive plastic surgeon – and always your primary care physician.
A biopsy may be performed to help with the diagnosis. It involves taking a tissue sample from suspected tissue for examination by a pathologist. And, if further surgery is required, our less invasive, more advanced techniques conserve breast tissue, reduce pain and minimize scarring.
Women who are diagnosed with breast cancer have more reason than ever to hope for long, productive, fulfilling lives. Using new, minimally invasive surgical techniques, we are taking more of a toll on cancer and less of a toll on you.
